I had a friend who used to refer to the building she worked in as the “death star”. it was in the 50’s in midtown, though which building it was I can’t recall at the moment… We always thought she was a comedic genius for coining the phrase but it looks like she was probably riding on someone else’s coattails. She wasn’t that much of a genius.
“dh, I regularly use Arecibo. The only reason I didn’t last night was because I thought the bartender’s “local guy” would be a lot quicker. The price was about what I’d expect from Arecibo too and that car was really, really nice!!!”
Damn – I’m jealous. There is definitely a lack of good car services that charge a fair price in N. Brooklyn. I wonder if Arecibo will pick me up in Willamsburg if my destination is their neck of the woods.
What a difference a day makes. I’m underwater at El Death Staro this morning, but had to drop by to thank Kens for organizing last night. The place was top notch; fantastic beer selection, great service and tasty food. And of course the company was wonderful too.
Great job, Kens. I might have to pass the Social Committee President title to you.

The question of the day Biffy is, do you have a corner office? :o)
THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE FOR COMING OUT YESTERDAY.
I am very happy that the place worked out for everyone’s liking.
Biffy, no way I can live up to a title as esteemed as yours. You are so good at organizing these events.
“Biff which one is the death star?”
herkimermaid, it’s where I work.
