    It is famous for it’s beauty and infamous for being very close to the site of the Swissair Flight 111 plane crash in 1998 in which all 229 passengers and crew of were killed.

    Peggy’s Cove is near Halifax, Nova Scotia, from where the first responders to the Titanic sinking came. Some of the passengers who died are buried there. During 9/11, Halifax and other communities in Atlantic Canada hosted 21,000 passengers after air traffic was shut down over the United States in the wake of the attacks. Lastly, Ellen Page, of Juno fame, is from Halifax.

  2. DIBS, you’re correct, it was the statue of liberty from Vox Pop. I am on their emailing list and got the email this morning about that. It sucks, that statue was awesome right in front of the store.
