speaking of TV, am disappointed am not seeing another surge of promo’s on TV sales as June 12 date rolls around. yours truly is NOT ready for the conversion. Anyone using the digital antennas for receptions and if so, how’s reception?
The actual apartments in NYC public housing are actually pretty freakin huge and bright (if you don’t mind the cinderblock walls) – the hallways and elevators are pretty dismal (every housing project i’ve been in smells like urine)
There is a pretty strong sense of community though – a friend’s grandmother lives in a housing project in the south bronx and everyone leaves their doors open, kids and teenagers would stop in to say hi and the grandmother would feed them. I used to enjoy visiting
Thanks Biff! It was a blast to make even if I didn’t really have enough time and my work schedule almost caused me to get a divorce! This week I am going down to Bonnaroo Festival to produce the video shoots on 4 of the stages. Big rock and roll summer for me.
In and out of meetings and, no DIBS, nothing is ever accomplished in meetings at The Death Star. We don’t even get yummy pastries anymore, cheap bastards.
THL, that was a funny story. And no, Alta Cocker is not related to Joe Cocker. Cocker? I don’t even know h…
Never mind.
wasder, I TiVo’d all 4 parts of your documentary and have seen the first 3 parts so far. It’s wonderful. I’m very impressed. The fact I already loved that music going in didn’t hurt either.
no ken, you are thinking about buildings that have an “affordable” component to them. with just the regular projects there is a set amount. tho you have to pay 1/3 of your income to rent. living in the projects works out for someone who makes 20 – 30 K, but if you are between 40 and 60 K, it doesnt make sense to live in the projects if you have to pay 1/3 of your rent since you can find housing elsewhere. and it’s not fun living in the projects. however it’s still impossible to get in if youre a single male with no children. which i find extremely unfair. i wouldnt want to live in the projects tho. id feel like a poser.
a ton of projects have fabu water views too.

“Finally I blurted, “ALTA, this is CACA.””
And you wondered why Kens thought you were a member of the tribe? 🙂

*rob*
Rob, aren’t incomes depending on buildings? some require like 20K some require 40K cap. I could never understand the reasoning.
About time.
