All old men and black ties reminds me of Carmines. Did the place look like it hadn’t been redone in a million years with lots of wood paneling and a bar along on wall?
It’s not bad for what it is. When I worked in Secaucus, I ate there from time to time. That’s the only kind of restaurants there are in those corporate parks. Applebees is a glorified diner. I know that because I worked as a cook in a diner (Juniors). In almost any diner, as long as you stick to the right dishes (burgers, chicken, etc.) you’ll do fine. However, you don’t go into a place like that looking for, let’s say, sea bass with saffron risotto.
No, I don’t think that’s it. This place is run by a younger staff and the service is crappy. I just kept going because it was the one place to get a good carbonara. That and everyone else at worked liked it. Frankly I think it’s overpriced but serviceable.
Arkady – noo when did you post the curry places. I will say that the best Indian food I ever had(aside from my best friend’s mother in High School) was in London!
ENY – hahaha ok man ok! – then riddle me this? why so many black folks GO to places like Olive Garden and Red Lobster

I don’t remember if it has murals on the walls.
Hey, check out the new Forum post “Real Estate Resources”. That is some picture! I bet Olive Garden is popular in THAT neighbourhood.
Nothing wrong with raw eggs. Steak tartare is one of my favorite foods. Spaghetti carbonara is practically raw.
The mixes usually all require 2 eggs. Unless you got that microwave stuff already mixed in the bowl?
“ENY, what’s your opinion about Applebee’s?”
