  1. jesus dipster. just how many times did it take you finding hair in your food to not go back again? hahahah. that is something that would take me just ONCE. there is nothing skeevier than a hair in food. which is weird cuz humans inhale about 2000-3000 hairs per day!

  2. Lots of black folks go to restaurants in my neighborhood too. Saraghina opened last night and it was packed with black folks. Saraghina has the best pizza in Brooklyn. I kid you not, people.

  3. The Carmines in the Financial District north of Hanover Square was in the ground floor of a modern office building. It was not tacky nor do I remember murals. Wood paneling, yes. The waiters were professional, not wanabe actors, the food was very good and expensive. It was strictly an expense account joint. I ate there twice. I used to prefer la torre d’or on the top floor of 14 Wall Street. Very Robber Baron-ey. Great views and nice terraces. I don’t think it is in business any longer.

  4. ENY, easy answer to G10’s question is you weren’t standing in front of those enterprises to EDUCATE them that this “good enough” food is not good enough for them. Throw out a few “if you eat here, you’re a chump” and you’ll get your point across or get your behind beaten
