Would Olive Garden be an appropriate place to have a gay wedding reception??? I had to bring the discussion back on topic.
g10 – several others named curry spots, not I. I agree, London is absolutely the best. There used to be a good one on E. 27th in Manhattan called Shalimar that had been started by the owners of my fave one in London but that was 30 years ago.
ENY – ok now we will seriously brawl. How can you say grits are disgusting?

I’m thinking it’s more along the lines of Denny’s, Chick-fil-a or Waffle House.
I’m thinking Olive Garden is for special occasions.
ENY, to me I can’t see any difference between App. and OG. In Middle America, they get knockoff versions of what you find in the big cities.

I can’t remember a bar even being there. If there was it was as you walk in and certainly not the length of the wall. Haven’t been there since 1997 when I lived in the Seaport.

I really don’t know, but I do know bad taste is much more common in this country – irrespective of race – than good. Plus, I don’t like a lot of things some other black people do. Grits, for example….disgusting! But I agree that lots of black folks go to Olive Garden and Red Lobster.
