🙁 Snappy feels crappy. National Grid is doing work near my house on the gas lines and my whole apartment now smells like gas. Talk about headache and nausea. Gotta lay down…here’s to hoping that I actually wake up later!
DH, you took the words right out of my mouth! It isn’t that far from the C train and I was just about to suggest that people stroll up Clinton Avenue and admire some of the unbelievable homes (the most impressive being those built by the Pratt family, as DeLepp reminded me) on their way to Rope.
Maybe we should meet at Borough Hall and hijack a bus to take all us Asshats to Rope. I can see it now:
“The Taking of the Ikea Shuttle Bus 123”
“Teresa’s having that house built because, “I don’t want to live in someone else’s house–that’s gross.”
That statement pretty much sums these ladies up for me.
They live in a far away land inhabited by people I cannot relate to! Does she not want to walk on sidewalks that others have walked on? What about planes? Does she need the seat reupholstered before she sets her booty on it? G*D HELP US ALL!
Whose the stage mother? She spent $1,000 on kids clothes that day – OMG. That’s INSANE. I can’t relate. They are martians to me.
The ‘C’ train is a pain for me to get to, and I still say the ‘G’ is not a real train!!! Argh…the transfers I see in my future 🙁 I’ve gotta figure out an all bus route….
Sorry I missed the crawl. Can’t say I didn’t warn you guys about Madiba, though.
Mopar,
At least you haven’t gotten yourself addicted to houseinprogress.com., which leads to something like houseblogs.net. They collected a scary # of bloggers. I lurked there about 3-4 years ago, but it had so little to do with Brooklyn, except for one guy with a rowhouse and a motorcycle in Bay Ridge who used to post a bit here, too, and a blog concerning 649 6th Ave, with cool cartoons. Lots of bungalows and arts & crafts renos. More of a nationwide DIY community of people renovating all kinds of houses. I was particularly fond of the “chateau de mold” blog, but was frustrated I could never find out how their legal battle ended. Don’t do it, mopar, you will lose days, my friend. But if you do, report back.

“There’s no train over there :(”
That’s good, as everyone should get off the C train at Clinton/Washington and walk up what has to be one of the grandest streets in NYC. (clinton ave)
Snappy, there is the G train, and there are multiple buses that run through to downtown Bklyn.
Biff,

“and i final got caught up on RHNJ since we got cable back this weekend. wow what is up with their fascination with all things marble!?!”
Rob, get it right.
It’s Marble, granite AND Onyx (no not the rappers).
Teresa’s having that house built because, “I don’t want to live in someone else’s house–that’s gross.”
