Biff, 35 people may be too many for Brooklyn Ale House without making a prior arrangement. It’s a thin storefront with a large back room where the eating happens. If you’re heading over go for their brunch, great pub grub. Give me a yell and I can meet you, they have 16 beers on tap and I’ve only had 4 so far.
No idea on that one. I remember one more phrase that that my father’s generation used when I was a kid. When a kid was wild, they used to be called a “whyle-yo” (that’s the phonetic spelling, I don’t know the actual spellling).
Six years;
Yes, that is where John’s is located, but for my money, I’ll take Monte’s sandwich shop, which is located on Ave “O” between West 4th and 5th, nearby. Want proof of how good Monte’s is? If you go there near noon, you will see a contingent from every nearby police precinct and fire house, picking up the order they called in. Need I say more?
If you go to Monte’s, order one of two things:
a) a prosciutto and mozzarella sanwich, with sliced tomatoes and olive oil.
b) Fried potato and egg sandwich.
Top these off with a “Manhattan Special” Iced coffee soda, and you are in heaven.
Where I’m from, if you ask for soda you will get seltzer water or they will assume you have a righteous gas attack and give you a glass of baking soda dissolved in water.
Iced coffee soda sounds really good. Just add soda water to iced coffee????

“JB, any HOT single lady friends for Kens and DH? Now that you’ve met them (& 4give DH on that alcohol induced knock-off comment).”
Unfortunately the only single friends I have left would be more keen on Amzi Hill 🙂 …but I’ll give it some thought, for sure.
Biff asks another stupid question.

Mmmmm…yes…sangria!
I must say, I’ve never had such fun while surrounded my men! Sangria could only serve to make it even better 🙂
“Let’s go somewhere they have sangria and all share a few pitchers.”
DIBS, would you be ok with a Mexican or Spanish place?
The movie “Kiss Me Guido” was made in NYC in 1997 in The Bronx.
