Red Hook

Prospect Heights and Park Slope
The Nets Store opened at the Barclays Center…have you picked up your Nets swag yet? All About Fifth profiles the Prospect Bar, which quietly opened on 5th Avenue over the summer. Here’s Park Slope also noted that the bar is now serving a full menu and brunch. A high-end Scottish whisky bar is coming to 47 5th Avenue at Bergen Street. The owners just presented their liquor license application to Community Board Six. And the much-hyped wine bar Terroir opened in the old Great Lakes spot on 5th Avenue.

Elsewhere
Some news from Gowanus: The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club finally got its liquor license application approved by CB6 after a lot of community outreach and agreeing to a list of stipulations. Root Hill Cafe is opening Root Hill Burger “very soon!” just a couple of doors down from the cafe. And a dog day care and grooming business called “Yuppy Puppy” is opening at 455 Union Street near 3rd Avenue, according to Pardon Me for Asking. In Brooklyn Heights, PMFA checks out the expanded Sahadi’s store, which now includes a larger deli counter, a bakery section and a new coffee bar. Finally, in Kensington, the new restaurant Hamilton’s (a project by the owners of Alchemy) should be opening soon on the corner of Fort Hamilton and East 4th.
