Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill
Just Another Brooklyn Blog notices that Bar Bruno will be opening in a week on Henry Street. JABB says: “The space is much improved from its previous incarnations: the perpetually renovated Marius Cafe and the often line clogged Everything Bagel. Bruno Bar’s immaculate decor features a nice marble bar in the front with dark wood paneling. In the back, there are cozy circular leather booths and bright tiled walls.” Five Guys on Court Street is looking to open an unenclosed sidewalk cafe. Lost City spots a new bike shop on Van Brunt between President and Union Streets. Lost City says of it, “It’s run by a father and son. It’s called Dog Day Cyclery. I’m happy to have them in the nabe. I was getting tired of trekking to Court Street every time I had a flat.” The above picture of Dog Day is via Lost City.

Park Slope
Here’s Park Slope notes that the nabe will soon have a fancy hat store at 5th Avenue and Berkeley. And Kohzee Cafe may be no more, but it will soon be filled by “My Lucky Lou’s Bar and Grill.” Here’s a planned menu, which includes things like wings, ribs and nachos. Finally, Adelina Nail & Hair Salon is closed at 66 Fifth Avenue and a new clothing boutique called Rivet is open at 103 7th Avenue.

After the jump, a look at the Brooklyn Roasting Company, a donut stand in Ditmas Park, and Greenlight Bookstore is expanding…

Dumbo
Gothamist profiles the Brooklyn Roasting Company, who just opened and is already sourcing to local Brooklyn establishments like Dumont, Dressler and Egg. And Dumbo NYC checks out the empty storefront at 59 Front and wonders what would work there.

Ditmas Park Blog snaps a photo of a donut stand outside of Qathra. If all goes well, they will bring out the stand regularly. Construction’s going on at the old Rainbow Cafe spot in Sunset Park, notices a Brooklynian commenter, another says that Jerry’s Bagels has re-opened in Sunset Park and wonders when Sunset Perk will be opening. Finally, word’s gotten around that Greenlight Bookstore is expanding in Fort Greene. According to the press release, “Greenlight Bookstore will become the kiosk vendor for BAM at the Peter Jay Sharp Building at 30 Lafayette Avenue, and the BAM Harvey Theater at 651 Fulton Street. The kiosks, known as “Greenlight at BAM”, will be open before, during, and after all scheduled performances. Each will offer books and merchandise related to the works on stage, as well as Brooklyn and New York related merchandise and BAM branded clothing and accessories.” Awesome!!
