We received word through a tipster yesterday that the McDonald’s at 169 Tillary Street, a long-time fixture in Downtown Brooklyn, had closed. Sure enough, that was the case when we went by this morning. According to signs up in the windows, the fast food giant lost its lease after, we’re guessing, 20 years. The property does not appear to have changed hands recently nor have any new building permits been applied for. Anyone know what the plan is? Is the demise of McD’s good news or bad news for BKLYN Gold marketing efforts? GMAP

  1. “”i felt really really gross afterwards. not like sick gross, but just like totally icky inside? does that make any sense?”

rob, I get the same chemical feeling.”

before eating at McDonalds think about the corporate mutant cow bred to produce $1 meals. sick and sad.

  2. Anyone looking for food on Tillary near the BQE entrance should check out the Loading Dock (right across the street from the closed McD’s). AMAZING tacos and burritos, in an art gallery with fireplaces. It’s off the beaten track, but very well worth it.
