The folks at Ditmas Park’s popular Farm on Adderley restaurant noticed as many folks were lining up for barstools as tables, so they decided what the ever-hippening neighborhood needed was a bar. Later this month, on the same block, they’ll welcome their new drinking establishment, a hybrid business that will operate as a flower shop during the day—yes you can sit among the roses and sip wine at night, too. Adderley owners Allison and Gary Jonas and their partner Justin Israelson just aren’t sure what to call the place. They’re thinking Monkey’s Wedding—referring to the times when the weather’s both raining and sunny. You guys got any ideas?
I thought that ‘devil beating his wife’ just referred to thunder.
How about, “Storefront for rent”
Whiskey Flowers – Because you can only come home drunk and empty-handed so many times…
“Filled with hipsters”, really? You couldn’t fill a four top w/ hipsters in DP (which is one of the nice things about this neighborhood). It is a catchy word though, isn’t it.
I think it sounds nice. Doesn’t sound like a hipster spot, though (do you ppl even know any hipsters?) I like Townhouselady’s suggestion, its pretty clever
MonkeyOnDitmas wins this round.
Bar Fly Trap
“Ever-hippening neighborhood?”
God help us.
Since it’s going to be filled with hipsters and wine Nazi’s how about, “Flinging Poo”
