Last time we announced that the Fulton Grand bar was opening the next day, it turned out not to be true. That happens occasionally with word-of-mouth tips. Last night, though, we received an email from the owner of the bar assuring us that opening day would in fact be tomorrow, Wednesday, August 4th. What’s more, we’ve been told that the new watering hole (located, not surprisingly, at the corner of Fulton Street and Grand Avenue in Clinton Hill) will be offering happy hour prices all night long. See you there.

  1. As always, when the police or politicians (i.e. Letitia James) fail to address crime, an invasion of yuppies gets the job done. Eventually, the ghetto building on corner will go condo and the kids in the local public schools will actually be able to read and figure at grade level. Gentrification rules!

  2. OK BHO factual correction, thank you for pointing that out….

BHO, I now totally discount everything you say. You are the one, as I remember, who announced with 100% certainty that Lebron James (due to dinner at Sparks with Allan Houston) was definately joining the Knicks. Then, when I expressed extreme disappointment after BELIEVING you, you said that you had a bridge to sell me.

    So, BHO opinons 50% off….

  3. Good luck to these people. I’ll drop in there for a drink. People in Clinton Hill/Fort Greene drink and eat. It is nice to have more in the neighborhood rather than spending money someplace else. I am really pleased that we are starting to get more retail services and M4L, you are right that guy on Fulton near Clinton, Beny’s Delice, is definately frou-frou, and I would prefer an old fashioned Italian bakery with rolls and buns and cookies and bread, but I’ll take it.
