Freddy’s Bar and Backroom on Dean St, due to be seized through eminent domain, and demolished for the Barclay’s Arena, installed chains of justice to the bar for protesters to handcuff themselves to when the proprietors are evicted. Yesterday, they staged another media event, a working guillotine made of beer cans, for the execution of an effigy representing Eminent Domain. Complete with costumed Executioner and Death, the event culminated with the decapitation of Poor eminent domain, born of a noble purpose of building hospitals and roads… being used to take Americans from their homes, not just for a British bank but also for Russia. The event apparently drew more media than some of the more important legal and governmental meetings for AY. The fight for Freddy’s is being described by supporters as the bars vs. banks smackdown.

I’ve never noticed a preponderance of fatties, however I have noticed many Jewish gals with bobs.

I have played dead on that sidewalk. The guy in the top hat is an excellent bartender. I’m the only regular PLUSA who goes here too – it’s my after hours spot, the place I go when I decide I want one more drink but dont want to stay in my local.
Last Sunday night after I finished packing for my trip home for Xmas, I went to Freddy’s to see the “chain-in”. The owner, Donald, was sitting at the bar and a few others were there but not chained up. the bartender I dislike was there so I didn’t stay.
“Too bad. Not a bad place if you’re into fat chicks.”
I knew I liked AY for a reason.
God invented gays so fat chicks would have someone to dance with.

I know when I want something I make sure to get really drunk, wear a funny costume and cause a ruckus on the sidewalk.
