Tina Roth Eisenberg, who designs and blogs under the company name Swissmiss, is a Swiss designer gone NYC. She and her family live in Boerum Hill, and her blog is an interesting pastiche of very modern product design and graphic arts. Recently, she posted photos and a link to this Swiss manufacturer of the coolest modern fireplaces I’ve ever seen. Check out her site, as well as the site for Rutz Feuerstellen. Now all I need is some serious Euros, and some Brooklyn loft space.

Good catch. The rug and table seem to disappear as well. Good thing too, the clutter in that room was getting unbearable!

Well, I dunno whether to invokes Godwin’s Law, or call Minard a design nazi.
He certainly seems to have a eugenics through interior design thing going.
I’m tending to side with Minard on this one!!!!
“it appeals to people today who seek an irrational level of control or who are germ-freaks or who are improperly medicated.”
Well damn, Minard. I’ll be sure to get myself to a shrink A.S.A.P. to fix my emotional/mental deficiencies. I’m sure you know what you are talking about here.
If I had the money and the raw space for one of these babies, I’d go for the “fueurmusik”, most likely. But in a much different, warmer and more eclectice setting, like a home in the Adirondacks, or a loft with exposed brick and comfy furniture. I am more of a maximalist, certainly no minimalist. I’d go stark raving mad in a white room with flat, square furnishings.
minard, youd like the shower Hoarders on A&E btw. total opposite of minimalist!
