And no beanbagging, rob.
That meatball recipe is the same as my Aunt Rose’s and she was Calabrese to the core and a great cook. Not so much breadcrumbs (always homemade), quite a bit of grated locatelli, only difference is, we drop them into the sauce raw.
Does the Open Thread stay running even if no one is in the office??? How does that work?? Did they have to come in this morning and start it up???
“The concept of “spaghetti and meatballs” is an Italian-America invention”
are people really arguing with this?
Rob – Unless you have a fever high enough to start a fire, your hair shouldn’t smell charred.
Drink lots of liquid (non-alcoholic) & bundle up in bed (or on couch.)
Rob, between 4th and 5th aves.
Roni is an Italian name, no???
Benson – Polpette doesn’t stipulate what kind of meat is used. Spaghetti & meatballs is an American term for something that was served probably before Columbus arrived here. The English had similar meatballs called rissoles. There are versions of meatballs in almost every culture – everyone wanted to make the most of whatever meat was available. Hamburgers were invented here too but there were versions of it almost everywhere.
“Good grief, folks are trying to tell me about my own people’s history!!”
Well, thank goodness you’re not the only one who’s family has history in that country or we’d be getting a very one-sided history of events wouldn’t we?
