Brooklyn wine store Heights Chateau has partnered with the Muriel Guépin Gallery to host a wine tasting fundraiser and art show this week. This fundraiser is for the teacher and artist Jaclyn Talley and her husband Jason, also an artist, who is fighting a rare form of leukemia. He is at Bellevue Hospital without health insurance, so the benefit is to help alleviate the couple’s unexpected financial burden. The wine tasting (which includes cheese and charcuterie) will be held this Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6 pm to 9 pm, at the gallery at 47 Bergen Street. It costs $50 and all the proceeds will go to Jaclyn and Jason. The next day the gallery will host a silent auction. Local artists have donated works, and each art piece is expected to start at auction around one-third of the normal retail price. That will be held Friday, Oct. 26, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. To reserve tickets to the tasting benefit, get in touch with Heights Chateau at info@heightschateau.com or at (718) 330-0963.
