Calexico Seized and Shuttered
Uh oh….Calexico at 88 5th Avenue in Park Slope has been seized. Looks like there are no hopes of it coming back, considering “For Rent” signs are up on all the windows. (Here’s Park Slope noticed it too, and confirmed that it’s closed for good.) Sad to see it go? GMAP

all of the beer was 3 bucks and alot of it was interesting.
also my friends used to order the vegetarian tostadas about 5 times a week.
Something about bring nostalgic for 2007 made it read very moonfacey.
I hope Calexico cart takes over the space.
LS, you can’t please all of the people all of the time, especially in the blogisphere.
Don’t be discouraged; I thought your story was sweet.
“Yeah, it was a moment of weakness writing that down.” (LincolnSlope)
I don’t think it was a moment of weakness. Trust, maybe, trust that you could talk about something emotional and not be attacked. That seems reasonable to me….
Perhaps, Arkady but most of us are also in favor of gassing the Prospect Park geese.
Amazing that this mean-spirited group has some of the same people who rallied round to feed cats for a stranger whose father had died.
LS, i really dont think you need to be explaining yourself to anyone here…
*rob*
Wow, the truth is we had a very small place in a very cheap apartment. We wouldn’t have done much better living in a less expensive neighborhood. The comments here were kinda sad actually. Yeah, it was a moment of weakness writing that down. I won’t be guilty of that on this website anymore.
And trust me, if there are two people that take care to live within means it is us. But sometimes it is easier to just be snarky. Have fun being positive!
I think Dibs might actually be onto something there!!!
