From the Forum: Soundproofing Against the Noisy Upstairs Neighbors

    Condo owners have new upstairs neighbors and are trying to find a soundproofing solution to make life more bearable. The building is just 10 years old and there’s little insulation in the ceiling — so even though the neighbors have thick rug pads every sound is heard. Before giving up and moving should the owners consider soundproofing the ceiling? What systems might offer the best solution?
