96 fort greene place fort greene 12015

Yet another attractive Fort Greene brownstone has hit the market. This one at 96 Fort Greene Place is straight-up Italianate with classic features such as arched white marble mantels, elaborate crown molding, and what looks to be a now-enclosed tea porch in the back. It’s set up as an owner’s triplex over a garden-floor rental. What do you think of it for $2,800,000?

  1. It’s not the most charming FG location but it is super convenient to all trains, shopping and the park and the house looks like it has a lot of potential. Interested in Lamb’s finding that this is classified as an SRO — could this be the reason for the decent price?

  2. I actually really like this street. Reminds me of the west village. Probably the best train connection in all of Brooklyn. Compared to what has been coming up on the market this seems like a solid price.

  3. That a pretty nice house, but it is near a very busy intersection and sits x from on of fort greenes ugliest buildings. I know they kept some nice details in the house but f-me there is still a lot that needs to be done to make things look super nice. Would be better to market it as a SFH using the bottom as in-law suite.
