Wood frame in the front, brick in the back! This rambling mid-19th century Clinton Hill house looks to us like it started out life as a Greek Revival, then was redone as an Italianate some years later, plus has had other updates over the years. It’s a freestanding house with striking inlaid floors and mantels. Going by the photo, it looks to be in good condition, with at least one updated kitchen. (There are no photos of the other two kitchens or the baths.) It’s 6,000 square feet and is set up as an owner’s triplex with a basement “guest suite,” in the words of the listing, and a two-bedroom rental in the rear of the second floor. The house sits on a large lot and comes with a garage. Do you think they will get their ask of $4,495,000?

  1. Wow, they did a nice job. I looked at that house YEARS ago- I think it was on the market for 800k to 1m?? I wanted it! The interior looks very much the same as it did then. I didn’t look at the kitchen, that needed to be redone then. It would be a great flip if they get that price. I kind of think they will.

  2. Wow! This is huge and stunning. I might rather not have a rental so near the master bedroom although it is nice not to have renters above one’s bedroom. I have no idea about the price but it’s gorgeous and looks so well cared for.
