According to public records, the city transferred four empty lots to the affordable housing developers Housing Partnership. These lots include 1969-1973 Bergen Street (pictured), 402-404 Howard Avenue, 412 Howard Avenue (the corner lot at St. Marks), and 1459-1461 St. Marks Avenue (another corner lot at Howard Avenue). The lots are all zoned for residential development. According to the Housing Partnership website, the company acts as as a conduit for numerous affordable housing initiatives through securing subsidies, assisting developers, financing development partners, and acquiring grant money.
