this just in, MLB will be awarding Yankees the 2010 trophy post the trades. to all the other teams, thanks for participating and better luck next year but honestly, same outcome
DH, if those 2 trades happen, the Yanks roster will yield a “where’s Waldo?” version as in “where’s the non-all star on the roster?”

Slopefarm, those 3 did nothing wrong going to Miami. they took less money to play together. Dirk took 16M less to resign with Mavs – that’s putting $$$ where mouth is as far as giving team some cap $$$ to build good supporting cast. How about Gary payton and Karl Malone signing for $1M each to play with lakers? thank god Pistons destroyed them in the finals

I heard that they may be thinking of trading Javier for him. Something new today???
DH, rumor has it they’re getting Jason Werth too via trading Vasquez. might as well just give the trophy to yanks now if those 2 trades happen
Slopie, Denton, there are many kinds of intelligence/ talent. Aside from the extraordinary physical althletic talent, NBA stars must be able to be strategic thinkers and to be able to choose among several courses of action in a split second. I noticed that in the trading world, many talented traders also were the athletes and the brilliant propellor head quants who are able to do the complex math/modeling but can also be pretty dumb regarding the real world skills of business.
