Only 12 Out of 475 Applicants Got Into PS 321's Pre-K Program This Year
And it wasn’t much better at PS 154 in Windsor Terrace where only 18 out of 215 made the cut. That’s why The Daily News is declaring a Pre-K crisis in Brownstone Brooklyn.

I never went to nursery school, pre-K or kindergarten.
Take that as a data point.

I think the Greene Hill school still has space.
“what do they serve for lunch in the ps321 cafateria?”
An amuse-bouche of deviled egg with caviar, followed by a choice of entrées (striped bass, filet mignon, or a vegetarian quiche), a salad lightly dressed with vinaigrette, and dessert (chocolate mousse or sorbet, with berries on the side).
arent your kids half asian biff? personally, those scores should be a LOT higher hahah 😉

Well, it worked out for you, thats good.
More accurately, they scored in the 97th and 93rd percentiles on the standard tests. Ok, I promise I’ll shut up now…

Given that the apparent aim of schooling nowadays is to do better than your peers on tests, why stack the cards against your own?
really? the aim of school is to do better than your peers on tests? hermph! well what do you know! that’s kinda sad. especially for four year olds

Well I took the gamble, ditto, knowing that my kids had their best teacher that they’ll ever have (Mrs C) at home with them since birth and having absolute confidence in their abilities AND with the mindset that they would thrive more from being around older kids versus being amongst the oldest in their classes.
It was an easy decision for us. We didn’t believe we should buy into what we perceived to be “gaming” the system (maybe it’s the Socialists in us) and we also thought it best they start the formal education process as soon as they could. We believed we would be stacking the cards against them by holding them back.
And, so far, they’ve proven we made the right decision, scoring 97% and 93% last year on the gifted and talented tests for their respective grades (ok, ok, sorry for being the obnoxious bragging parent everyone hates).
