A third affordable housing lottery has opened at Park Tower Group’s neighborhood-transforming mega-project Greenpoint Landing in Greenpoint. Monthly rents and income caps are on the low end of the scale for affordable housing in Brooklyn.
The big affordable housing development with a Blink Fitness is nearing the finish line in eastern Crown Heights. All 12 stories are up at 250 Utica Avenue, and most of the windows are in. The residential portion is rising at 1373 Lincoln Place just off Utica, where construction is supposed to wrap in August. It will have 87 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with rents aimed at 60 percent of the area median income, as well as 12 underground parking spots and storage for 44 bikes.
The income ranges are between $18,618 and $35,280 for a single person, $30,652 to $40,320 for two people, and between $36,823 and $58,440 for families as large as six people. Rents are $494 and $785 for studios, $844 for one-bedrooms, $1,022 for two-bedrooms and $1,175 for three-bedrooms. The complex, Utica Place, is taking applications for its lottery through May 13.
The four-story Blink Fitness on the corner of Utica Avenue looks finished and is scheduled to open this month. The building will also include a daycare, discount market and 81 subterranean parking spaces. L&M Development, also behind the affordable Navy Green project in Clinton Hill, is the developer, and the architect of record is MHG Architects. L&M is setting aside part of the commercial building as a youth center for St. Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church, which sits across the street and owns the property. More pictures after the jump.

Construction workers at 11 Broadway are well on their way to finishing up the building, scheduled for completion this year. The residential portion, which will hold 160 rentals, is now bricked. The front commercial space will be finished with a metal-like exterior. You can see a rendering here.
