pollstation1.jpgSpeaking of politics…While New Yorkers won’t weigh in on the presidential race officially for about another month, we thought the occasion of today’s New Hampshire primary would be a good opportunity to see which way Brooklynites (or a certain blog-reading subsection, at least) were leaning. Please take the five-question Democratic Primary Poll on the link. The polls will close at 8 o’clock tonight and we’ll have the results for you in the morning. In the meantime, any predictions for how the real primary will go today?

  1. I still hope that by some fluke, we get to vote for Jim Webb. Webb/Obama is my dream ticket. And let Hillary become the grand dame of the Senate. I feel for her — unfortunately she is both too early and too late. Look at the corporate world — 60 year old women have been passed by but they are promoting the 40 year olds to top jobs. Like every other woman her age, she has had to put on a smile and fit in with the guys for 40 years — no wonder everyone thinks she’s phoney. She’s not — just too used to doing what she has to do to stay in the game.

  3. fairtax would help people get out the subprime mess – they’d actually have the income up front to pay the mortgage. Instead of being taxed regardless on your income, you can chose when to pay the tax, i.e. by spending on taxed items or not.

  4. newsouthsloper — our candidates/presidents our a direct extention of us as a people. This is who we are, and it’s fking ugly but it’s the truth. Let’s face it and commit mass suicide.

  5. Every single candidate (With Perhaps the Exception of Ron Paul, and some 3rd Party ones) will bury us and our children under more debt, wasteful spending, misplaced ideals, poor judgment, and government expansion.

We will be less free than China in a few short years the way things are going. and alot of people seem to be just fine with that.
