On Wednesday night, The Brooklyner, the new 490-unit rental tower at 111 Lawrence Street in Downtown Brooklyn, held its official launch party (despite now being 60% rented and having tenants in place already). The event gave us a chance to drink in the views from the 51st-floor roof terrace of what is now Brooklyn’s tallest building. Pretty stunning!

  1. Phenomenal view and great terrace… but (sorry 11217), it’s not much of a common space for 490 units!!

I know amenities like roof terraces tend to be underutilized (which i’ve never understood), but if even 50 of the units decided to make use of this space on a regular basis…

  2. The rooms are really really small, of course the Living – kitchen thing should have been bigger, but it isn’t,
The A line bedroom, i cant even figure out where the bed would go.
These architects really have no conception these days of where furniture would be placed.
This building has to have the worst, and i have seen pretty bad layouts, but this takes the cake.
