The Commercial Observer published two Brooklyn stories this morning, one on the high sales activity in the outer boroughs and the other on “Brooklyn dealmaker” Glenn Markman. As for the sales activity in Brooklyn, it’s expected the borough will see about $3 billion in sales volume for all of 2012. That’s a 78 percent increase from last year. So far, 859 properties have sold this year, and the Observer says “this market is on pace for 1,145 property trades, up 47 percent from the 780 sold in all of last year.” The profile on Glenn Markman talks about his work with the Nets, Spike Lee, and companies like Makerbot and Etsy looking for office space in Brooklyn’s tech neighborhoods. Currently he is searching for a practice facility for the Nets.
