The Julius Liebman Mansion at 380 Clinton, which the LPC has referred to as “one of the most beautiful houses in Clinton Hill,” just sold for $3,800,000. It went on the market in 2009 for $5,500,000, and a year later the price was cut to $4,500,000. The final price is quite a nice deal for a 9,200-square-foot house on a 13,500-square-foot lot that also comes with a carriage house fronting Vanderbilt Avenue. The home previously belonged to a “faith-based residential program for men and women seeking help to overcome drug addiction,” according to Clinton Hill Blog; it’s unclear how it’ll be used now, but perhaps it will be an extremely spacious single-family? Here are some interior shots from when the home was on the market….swoon!

  1. rob- you really need to stop dissing women. You don’t get sh*t just because you’re a woman. Half an hour as a woman and you would be screaming for a sex change back to being a male.

seeing as NY is increasingly becoming a city for the uber rich and the professional poor you must be pissed off a whole lot.

yep. if i had a vagina i’d SO be part of the “professional poor” btw. but sadly, i was born a man.

  3. when i lived in chelsea i lived in a carriage house behind an apartment building. it was awesome until some rich b-tch moved in and terrorized everyone in the building. she also was having sex during the day with teenage boys and she bugged out on me in the courtyard when i called her out on it.

Hey, the rich gotta live somewhere too. Isn’t this a 180 degree turn from your comment on the BBP thread rob? Interesting.

yep and i mentioned it there before you mentioned it here. i have a weird dichotomy going on my head… both ends of the spectrum seem to piss me off.

  5. Uh rob, I never said I wanted it to be a school or that it should be a rich kid school. I just thought it unlikely (apparently incorrectly) that a single family would want to buy it.

minard–yes in the rest of America this might not be such a huge house but for NYC this would qualify as a super huge house. It is a massive property. There are very few single family houses in Clinton Hill that approach the size of this one. ITs a 9200 square foot house! My 4 story, 20×40 house would fit three times into this one and I only live in half of mine.
