Williamsburg’s The Bedford hit the market recently at 205 North 8th Street. This is a fairly small building that only features nine “loft-like” studios and one-bedrooms, and they’re not going for cheap: A 420-square-foot studio is priced at $400,000, according to StreetEasy, while one-bedrooms range from $450,000 up to $625,000. The development is boasting a laundry room, elevator, and roof deck, plus a one-block proximity to the Bedford L. GMAP

  1. “why not just price it right from the get-go?”

Prolly didn’t acquire the land nor procure the construction right from the get-go. AKA overpaid.

    ***Bid half off peak comps***

  2. look expensive versus the comp- a friend just bought at 80 metropolitan, large studio under 400k. similar size as these, similar common charges, many more amenities, and not on the same block as the chaos of bedford L stop, but a few min walk away. also it seems much better finishes at 80met. these prices will have to come down! why not just price it right from the get-go? people don’t live in caves these days! 5min of research will show these folks are overpriced!!!!
