This two-bedroom at 384 8th Street in Park Slope looks like a great package. There’s no square footage listed so we’re guessing it’s on the small side, and the kitchen is kind of a downer. Other than that, it looks like a lovely place. And at $2,000 a month, you’re getting a great location for a not-so-high rent. We bet this one will get snatched up in no time.

  1. Decent deal for a 1.5 BR, which is what it is. They say “good for a family”. Ha! Will still prove cheaper than buying @ 16x over a 5-7 year term.

  2. 6th ave/9th st is absolutely convenient (very close to a station on a viable line) but relatively inconvenient (compared to other options, say Brooklyn Heights, One Hanson Place or Notrand Ave in Bed Stuy).

Gross sq ft probably close to 700. More than likely a floor-through. So 2nd BR aint really a bedroom. Typical bait for brownstone newcomers (sometimes even delusional oldcomers).

  3. Depends on what part of Park Slope you’re talking about, randy. I live in the North Slope, within five minutes’ walking distance of the 2, 3, B, Q and R trains. I can also walk to Atlantic in a pinch for access to several other train lines. That’s pretty damned convenient.

I agree that 8th Street is less convenient, because you’re dependent on the F train. But plenty of people seem to be fine with that.
