This two-bedroom floor-through rental at 1668 10th Avenue in Windsor Terrace has a good proximity to the park, the subway, and much of Park Slope. The extra-wide bay-front on this townhouse also affords some extra wiggle room. The kitchen may need some fixing up, but overall you’re getting 1,000 square feet of space for $2,200 a month, which isn’t bad. You could find a two-bedroom around that price more centrally located in the Slope but in most cases you’re gonna have to compromise on size. What do you think?

  1. Why does so many people feel they have to have Bars, Restaurants 2 steps from their home????????

We have no restaurants here in bath beach, we get in the car and go, nice and easy…..

besides who wants bars in the hood, drunks screaming late at night, girls screaming….
no thank you, I rather live in a dead neighborhood and be able to drive anywhere..

    oh wait……I do already

  2. “I would chop off a couple hundred, bring it down to $1,500 but otherwise this isn’t bad.”

    2200 minus a couple hundred = 1500?

Does that mean a quiet dinner out for a couple means a reservation for seven?

Small one bedrooms in that area that are half floor apartments are renting for 1500, unrenovated….

WT has what you need as far as bars (3) and restaurants (a little of everything). Not sure what shopping options you are looking for, but the basic grocery store, butcher, book store, pharmacy etc are there.

South slope is a short walk and has a lot more options.

It’s no Smith street/Center Slope/Ft. Green, but the basics are there and seeming to be getting better all the time.

It’s a little quieter than those other areas too.

There are a few places by the 15th Street stop on PPW. The Windsor Cafe is a good diner, but most of the rest of the options are rather lackluster. Though some new places have popped up in the two years since I used to spend time around there, and you are a short walk to some good restaurants in the South Slope along 8th and 7th Ave.

  5. We’ve been thinking about moving to Windsor Terrace, but heard there is no bar/restaurant/shopping options. Is this true? Seems to me there is a bunch of stuff near the 15th street F stop?
