Rental of the Day: 98 Lincoln Place
Renting out this entire brownstone at 98 Lincoln Place will give you more space than you’ll know what to do with: it has thirteen rooms, eight of which can be used as bedrooms. There’s also an 800-square-foot basement, a porch, terrace, and backyard. The only bummer: the kitchen looks a little too Home Depot-ish to…

Otherwise, beautiful details throughout and a great exterior. The rent is $12,500 a month. Nice price?

Jesus, it’s like living in a hallway.
No, no, and no.
These prices are just ridiculous.
So BHO, you’re totally OK with the rent here because it’s on par with the cost to own? Doesn’t this blow your theory about how Brooklyn real estate is overpriced?
All the rooms seem really narrow.
Nothing all that special about this to command such a huge rent, and truth be told, Park Slope is a bit of a shlep from the Business Districts of Manhattan. I mean, for the very well-to-do there are more convenient neighborhoods.
What I mean to say is that Alta removed their ad in September, and Corcoran re-listed. It’s very confusing, because there are so many listings over the last 4 years.
Actually, Streeteasy says it was rented back in February, but they just retired the ad on 9/9.
I think it’s at least $200 a month overpriced, maybe even $223.04 a month above market for that sized brownstone on that side of Lincoln Place. If it were across the street it could at least 12,612.83 per month.
According to Streeteasy, the place has already been rented as of 09/09/10. Last price was indeed at 12.5K.
