If you’re gonna live in a studio, this isn’t a bad way to do it. This space at 94 Clinton Avenue in Clinton Hill boasts over 1,200 square feet of space, although a floor plan would be nice so we could see where the kitchen and separate alcove are situated. Regardless, this is on a nice block in a nice building, and some creativity could make it seem much less like a studio and more like a one-bedroom. What about the $2,300 a month rent? Seems reasonable to us.

What Babs said above. Half a block from the expressway, a 20 minute walk from any train other than the G. $2300? I don’t think I’d pay $1500 for this place, even as big as it is, let alone more than I’m paying now to live in Cobble Hill.
For less than that amount you can get a floor through in Prospect Heights right off Washington Avenue with utilites included.
Petebklyn, I dont care how damm big it is if it dosen’t have any walls, its a studio.
And you gotta be nuts to pay $2,300 for a 1 room apartment half a block from the BQE and a mile from the C train. For that price you could easily get a real 1BR in a better location.
A friend has a three bedroom one block over with a similar amount of space and pays $1,800. $2,300 for this location, even with the given amount of space, seems high for between Myrtle and Park.
and it’s not a loft!! it’s a big room in some dude’s house.
$2300/mo. to live 1/2 block from the BQE? Even the G train is a hike from here, although Myrtle Ave buses are a possibility. The building is 33.5 x 100., so 1/2 floor is definitely pretty big. Awaye’s web site does describe it as a loft, which I think is more appropriate for the size, and has kitchen and bath photos, along with a mantel on an exposed brick wall.
“it is not a studio apartment. if you stupid people knew anything –1200 sq ft is larger than most of your 2 bedrooms.
if open floor plan is not your thing, fine. ”
yeah – that’s the point. someone who wants a place with the square footage of a 2 bedroom apartment would probably want the rooms built out (for storage of stuff/children)
open layouts are cool, but for $2,300 I’m thinking you could get a smaller, real 1 bedroom in a better location in FG/CH.
It’s nice, if there was a place to stash the kid, I’d consider it. Pricing is in line (a bit cheaper) with slightly smaller two bedrooms in the area.
“Your link says ’94 Clinton Street’, not ’94 Clinton Avenue’.”
That’d be Brooklyn Heights, not Clinton Hill. But the listing actually says Fort Greene. Ha ha!
It IS a lot of space though. Wait a minute! It’s by the friggin BQE! No way they get this! Six months later: Sits or goes for $1,800/mo or less.
