This four-bedroom home at 56 Cambridge Place, which was renovated back in 2005 and 2006, is now on the market as a rental. The exterior of the house was restored from a wreck and a sizable addition was put on at the rear. The result, as the listing points out, is a 4,600-square-foot home on a double lot with a driveway. Since Mr. B informs us that he knows the owner, we’re going to limit our own commentary on the interiors, other than to say that the main floor is very open-plan and the finishes are, not surprisingly given that it was a gut reno, all new. Asking price: $5,500 a month.

  1. It reminds me of the house from “Beetle Juice”…. A slick city couple buy cute farm house and transform it into something cold and modern….

  2. The interior is INSANE. what are you going to do with the 2nd floor mezzanine? And if you want a rec room, well, too bad your landlord is going to be down there working – so you have a single family stand alone building you are heating, but don’t worry! You still have a downstairs neighbor to complain about your noise/kids/whatever! Awesome!!
I mean, if you left the FLOORS in the building you could have had a very nice living room, dining room, and then a nice rec room upstairs to put the TV and kids toys … (cue John Belushi) BUT NOOOOO you are so modern, you have a hideous double height living area with totally What-the-Fuck double high bay windows.

    Yeesh.
