The owners of this sorta three-bedroom apartment at the Bell Tell Lofts have started a handy blog with all the information on renting their DoBro pad. There we learned that there is only one true bedroom; the other two are “home occupancy rooms” meaning no windows. (The owners don’t seem to mind, but then again, they are trying to rent their place.) Otherwise, there’s a good amount of space, a small terrace, no fee, and a floorplan. The rent is $3,285 a month. We’d imagine a lot depends on how how livable those two rooms without windows feel. What do you think?

  1. Yes, to everything everyone’s saying. Also, I keep looking at that couch literally touching the makeshift kitchen island.

These people are in a tough spot. But, yeah, hopefully some young people sharing will take it.

  2. Personally, I could deal with a windowless bedroom if I was living alone. That wouldn’t really bother me since you’re not spending a whole lot of time in the bedroom other than sleeping.

  3. Three windowless rooms. Lovely. I would also throw out the fact that the living/dining/kitchen room isnt that big, and seems fairly cramped. Good luck getting someone to take over that lease!

  4. True bkms, lots of the units in that building are nice, with plenty of light. Others, like this, only have the two large windows in the living space and then have some home occupancy or storage rooms. I like the large spaces, high ceilings, artdeco building. It goves you options over all the new construction where you have to pay the same price for half the space.

  5. guess i’ll play devil’s advocate

this is a pretty great share for 3 young folks who are looking to spend around 1k a month and don’t wanna live in far out brooklyn

an apartment with this square footage in the DT BK rental towers would be at least 2k more a month.

the one bathroom is a bummer – but double sinks help
