For purposes of sites like propertyshark (and hence, I assume, the official stats that reports like this are based on), it’s footprint x stories. For houses anyway.
I know that this has been covered to death on this site, but could someone please remind me what goes into the SF calculation for a house? Is it just footprint x number of stories? Or are stairways and hallways exempted? Closets? Basements/ utility areas? Thanks in advance–
I just did the math for Boerum Hill and came up with an average price of just over $2 million for a 22-foot wide 4 story. Is that really the average? It seems quite high to me and more like the price for a high end renovation.
Right. I can think of a large Vinegar Hill house that sold last year for under 1mm, but then again the foundation was in total disrepair and the buyers were gonna have to lift the house, etc

wow. Ft Greene is like 40% more expensive than Clinton Hill.

They got Vinegar Hill, which is a postage stamp compared to Crown Heights, which isn’t even there? Oh well, we’ll continue to be a well kept secret.

I wonder what Giamatti thinks of all this…should we be afraid?
It would have been nice to see Kensington or Ditmas as separate areas. Maybe next year!
Yippee I am loaded.
