Those numbers are ridiculous; can you find me the Williamsburg unit that was sold for 352 psf?
Every new development there is at least 650 psf, and I am no familiar with the other nabs.
as per high priced Dumbo – I doubt there are many if any 1-2 family dwellings (and not many in Vinegar Hill either). So mute what ‘boundaries’
REBNY is using.
I think Zillow is a good concept, but even the founder said it’s off in the Northeast (2 out of four stars, in his words). So it’s not really on target in our area. They have said that for CA, however, it’s great.
DUMBO and Vinegar Hill are two distinct areas and have been for years. Parts of Vinegar Hill are landmarked, “Vinegar Hill”, while DUMBO is currently under the process. They are both small and border each other so they often get lumped together. Come visit and see for yourself.
Anyone checked out zillow.com? I own in FG(11205). I punched in my info and the thing that jumped out at me was the graph of “market value changeâ€.
Since Aug 05, my market value has gone done 25%.
This is the first ‘evidence’ that i’ve seen of price corrections already occuring. Any comments? I know the ‘zestimate’ is off, but I’m speaking about the overall trend.
i’m not saying that DUMBO prices aren’t high.
i’m just saying that there are virtually no 1- or 2-family homes there for these numbers to relate to.

Most of Fort Greene is 11238. Your value might be encompasing other neighborhoods on that site.
zillow.com is cool. But I just checked and they put the price of a 25 ft wide in B Heights at 1.3. Not exactly up to date.
No way they could have lumped the two nabes together…the average DUMBO price is very high!
