RE Greed Reaches New Level in Cobble Hill

Most New Yorkers are pretty used to tales of landlords evicting tenants in the pursuit of profit maximization. But even the most hardened free-marketeer must have raised his eyebrows at yesterday’s report of two elederly sisters being kicked out of the Cobble Hill townhouse where they grew up by their nephew, Joseph DeLeonibus. Adding another layer of intrigue was the listing for the Cheever Place property on Corcoran: “House is being offered for $999,999, without seeing it, without inspecting it, must close in 30 days, must be all cash and must take tenants in place.” Sounds a little desperate to us. There must be more to the story.

Pearl, I was quite amused in reading about a grandfather you never knew. He comes from a father who was the neighborhood drunk. He worked neighbor people for Old Man Wilson. It’s your Great-Grandmother Jean who had a hard life. She had to work two jobs to make the rent. Guess who drove he back and forth, my husband Joseph. Everybody is right, Anthony would not let this happen. He would take care of his mother. All your grandfather did was rob from him and make her cry. My husband Joseph is not the villain in all of this, it’s your grandfather. If it were not for Joseph, your grandfather would still be living in a cardboard box in Prospect Park. In the winter he would ride the trains. Joseph and I took care of your great grandmother. We gave her money, bought he clothes and paid for her life insurance policy for two years. Your grandfather, Lenny, who all of a sudden, everybody is so proud of, sold the policy for crack money for him and his crack wife. When your great grandmother died, if it weren’t for Johnny and Charles paying for the wake, she would be buried in Potters Field.
Your grandfather also beat her for money. The neighbors would call me to tell me how many times the cops were on Cheever Place. Your great grandmothers food stamp were used by your grandfather for smokes and beer. I have proof. When my son Joseph went to the house there was no food. Annie and Jean were eating toast. My son bought food for them. Go down to cheever Place. Ask the neighbors what’s going on. When Annie was alive he would wheel her to the bank to cash her check, so he could take the money. Annie would ask Joseph and me for money because Lenny would take it all. You come from a severely dysfunctional family, a crack head grandfather, a thief of a grandmother (she robbed me of over $1000 in jewelry), no body ever told you that. Your mom and uncle Peter is another story. One more thing. All possessions in that house do not belong to your grandfather or great grandmother. They free loaded with nothing. Everything in that house was bought by Annie and Joey. I could go on and on. Take a minute to think about it. Just look at him. Oh by the way neighbors are complaining of things being stolen from their houses. Guess who they blame. As for the Proud Family of that Vietnam vet. Ask him what kind of discharge he got. It was not a honorable one. Pearl, if you need to know more about your grandfather go to Deadbeatdads.com
Mandy, as far as respecting your grandmother, in death, Why? We were told that if we showed up we were going to be kicked out. The flowers would have gotten thrown out also. Plenty of times during the night we had to go to the hospital for your grandmother because your father was no where to be found. Don’t listen to your fathers lies everybody knows the truth. When my son got married, your grandmother gave your father $200 for the gift. Cousins Carmine and Charles saw him take it out of the envelope and put it in his pocket. I can tell you plenty. Ask your father where the 14k Gold coffee set is that Aunt Annie and Uncle Joey gave your grandmother from Italy.
linda Joseph and I gave our children a great foundation. We taught them to work hard for what you want. You have some pair of balls to wish that, because you do not know the truth. Joseph and I did take care of Jean not the crackhead. Joseph out of the kindness of his heart gave him a roof over his head. His kindness just backfired in his face. Lets speak the truth about foundation. Its apples and oranges. A loving family working hard all their lives to get the things they wanted and a solid life for their children. Or the crackhead and the thief…. remember the money you stole from me? Now do you want to talk about foundation?
peter realy how well do u know ur dad come on lets b a man about it think about this who us there all the time 4 ur family this was not about jean it was about lenny & patty u know ur step mom (ready lets go) when my grandfather died (now u know who this is) ur grandmother was being cared 4 by my dad did u know that ur grandmother had insur. that my father paid 4 until ur dad wanted it & ur loving father cash it in what did he do with the money that was 4 jean when she passed away do u know how many times i had 2 put food on that table because ur dad used the food stamps 4 beer do u know how many times i seen ur grandmoter all black & blue and 4 the trains ur dad sold them 4 money lets put it this way we did not what 2 sell the house if ur dad & kathy did what they promise my dad that house would have still been in the family jean gave ur dad $200.00 a month 2 give my dad 4 rent that was what she gave my grandparents do u know what ur dad did with the money ill let u in on a little secret it was not used 4 what ur grandmother wanted it used 4 im talking 2 u as a man dont start anything that u really dont know about and as 4 mandy come on u should realy know how ur godparents realy r not what ur dad says they r one more thing r rite about one thing if anthony was alive this would have not happend because he would have taken care of his mother like he did b4.
Mandy and Peter, both of you have no idea what went on there, I find it very surprising that you take the word of your no good father. Joseph and I were given no choice in selling the house. It was because of Katie and your Father they were squatters when Annie died. If there was a mortgage on that house it was nobodys business. We paid for it not you. Its a joke Linda Peter and Mandy sticking up for your crackhead Father and Ex husband. Joseph and I paid for Jean’s life insurance policy, until Lenny wanted it back. That was for her burial. Lenny sold the policy so he and his crackhead wife had money to live on. Johnny and Charles paid for her burial. They were putting her in potters field, because lenny used all her money. I had neighboes call me up telling how he would beat her up for her check. Do you know how many times the cops were there? Peter, as for your trains your father that you are so proud of sold them for crack money. Linda don’t point a finger you robbed me You people get me sick. Your not good enough for Jerry Springer. Mandy tell your daughter to call me, somebody misinformed her about her grandfather. Peter Mandy I don’t blame you look how you were raised. Linda how dare you say that about my children. They are both good men who were raised properly. They know they have to work hard to get nice things, and not rob and live off people. All of you know no other life. I truly can’t understand how you can take his word. You’re not worth it.
you are all a bunch of idiots.are u all to blind to see what happened. everyone living in that house on cheaver was moochig. the crackhead in the attic was stealing ss checks(yes very nice let us all defend him).the two old bags having a great time living not paying any money to live in this house while the crackhead probably beat them stealing all their money.WooHoo.YAY!! the “FAMILY” you all say u are? where were u when they were sick and if you are such a tight family why werent you there taking care of them or helping pay rent. oh yes i remeber, none of you cared until that house was sold and there was the issue of oh wait what was it ohh MONEY!!!!!! so there you have it no one remembered those 2 old ladies and the burn out until they realized that there could be some money involved.and what does it matter to anyone what was taken out of the house. u didnt own the house obviously so whatever was in that house wasnt yours anyway. its really sad how you all act upset about the things in the house that u want like a clock or some damn trains when u are really worried about money. wake the hell up get a job losers.
pretty sad GRACIE that your worried about some old curtains. i would more so wonder what happend to there wedding picture that was hanging up if it was my parents that would of been the first thing i would of taken.but thats right only the things that would make you money were important.
ok,ithink ive read just about enough and im proud of my childern who are caring enough to write something about their fathers family cause you see now that uncle joey, aunt annie, and jean are gone they have NO MORE FAMILY! but their dad down there, for you see i am their mother, lennys ex wife who loved them like i love my own family ,i was welcomed by them every time i came down, sure we had our spats what family dosnt but this is a DISGRACE!I could care less about kattie she deserves everything she gets because she was always jealous of annie, her own grown children have stolen from her….but aunt annie was a proud woman,a wonderful woman….we talked many times on the phone.we tried to get jean to move here with us but she and her sisiter could not and would not be separated.and you had to respect that.
joseph, gracie…i hate to say this but may your childern treat you the way youve treated family…..youve given them a good foundation for desiption, fairness, and what comes first ‘THE ALMIGHTY BUCK’ not you.
i am the proud x daugthernlaw to jean.the proud niece of aunt annie and uncle joey…….for me there is NO MORE OF YOU !
LINDA
IF MY UNCLE ANTHONY WAS STILL ALIVE YOU ALL WOULD OF FRIED FOR IT AND THE BUILDING WOULD STILL BE A PART OF THIS FAMILY AND NOT SOLD FOR A QUICK BUCK.
