The Douglass house is a standard 16’8″ x 100 lot. Projects are certainly less of an issue than the St. Mark’s house.
my friend lives on that block of douglass – it’s lovely and projects are a non issue. this house is very close to smith – location can’t be beat for convenience! gardens of these houses are also very large.
1.3 million for a small house half a block from the projects?
You can buy ten in Jersey City for the same price.
Douglass st is right ON TOP of the projects there, if you care.
Does anyone know anything about the location of Beverly road? Nice section of Ditmas?
workerb — very very rarely have there been apts on the Open House Picks. For the last two years, I’d say the OHPs are fairly high end 2 our of 3 weeks, and the other week tends to cover the lower end (which unfortunately still means up to $1.5M in a lot of brownstone brooklyn).
Pete– I was thinking the same thing (although I think all the comps on this block are 20′ wide or wider).
Wilso, I have to agree. I’ve noticed the last few weeks in particular, the OHPs have been almost entirely mutli-million dollar townhouses. They’re nice and all, but total fantasy for many readers. I think Brownstoner should make a little bit more of an effort to diversify the list. Did the OHP list ever include apartments?
Inserting foot in mouth – I just looked back a few weeks. The point is still relevant though, maybe there should be a Brokelyn version of OHPs or even HotD, CotD and RotD.
Brownstoner makes me wonder, “Do brokers host open houses for places under a million dollars?” Apparently not.
