“im thinking about going to grad school and writing my Ph.D. about moonfaces… in relation to real estate and ethnography”
Oh sorry I didn’t get the joke. Also, just have to say for the record, that your stereotypes of Bed Stuy are inaccurate. Plenty of people living here would probably be offended or appalled by them.

Rob, you are a very smart person and you should go to grad school if you want to.
get the fuck out of here. grad school? undergrad was already enough of a waste of money. stop buying into the hype… believe me, truly smart people do not need grad school. grad school = teacher slave labor and a bunch of people sniffing each others intellectual farts. no thanks.

Ha, yeah.
Also it’s split into three. Ugh.
WOW…corcoran went all out with that listing for the Decatur St place
I also saw an ad for a hip-hop yoga class (elsewhere) but haven’t tried it yet.
Rob, did you read that book on Inventing Brownstone Brooklyn already? Seems to be everyone’s favorite topic du jour. Rob, you are a very smart person and you should go to grad school if you want to. You could write about the culture of the hipster/yuppie class from whatever your point of view is. Don’t know if you would be interested, but I once met an anthropologist who specialized in what he called white trash culture. I have a friend in the sociology dept of Queens college who is studying gentrification with Sharon Zukin. As long as you do original research and writing that is actually important, which will be more than most do, you will get tenure. And I’m sure you will be able to do that. Just be driven about it.

but the block below it on Halsey has yoga and seems to be a nice place.

Maybe it has leaks and termite damage. If the mud room is anything like ours, it’s directly on the ground, floods, rotting, etc. But hey no biggie!

I don’t understand the difficulty in understanding that living in NY MUST be very desirable or else prices would not be this high. You don’t have to even understand WHY it’s desirable, but mustn’t it be? What else explains these prices? I mean, what else could be the MAJOR factor?
lol, it’s called moonface hysteria. it’s very real. believe me… im thinking about going to grad school and writing my Ph.D. about moonfaces… in relation to real estate and ethnography

JoeBushwick, this house is very close to Stuyvesant Heights (might even be in the Heights, not sure). If it’s not the Heights, it’s in the proposed East Extension. It’s also close to the gorgeous Saratoga Park. There’s probably some catch, but this is definitely worth checking out.
