Funkymonkey — it’s just off of Cortelyou Road, and well, lot’s of standard amenities and fancy pants amenities. It’s also only a couple blocks from Newkirk Plaza with a whole host of other amenities. It’s on the Q-line. (The B is an express train and is only “temporarily” running local)
thanks, BHS. what are amenities like over here? i don’t need charcuterie at my doorstep (although i do love my charcuterie), but i’d like to have a decent grocery store, a dry cleaner, and a drug store.
CGar–totally agree with M4L. that Park slope house looks to be a pretty good value. And nicely renovated.
The Vinegar Hill property comes out at approx. $380 sq. ft. based on their asking price. And with a garage, basement and roof deck…does not sound too bad to me. A lot cheaper then what is next door in DUMBO.
m4l, I’ll check it out when I get home.
my comment was re the Beverly Square house and FM’s question
I dont know about the schools but I use the B/Q stop that’s two stops closer to Manhattan and it takes about 20-25 mins including a few blocks walk and waiting to get to the first stop in Manhattan (chinatown) on either B or Q. Takes ~55 mins to midtown including walking, waiting, and one transfer. I’ve been pleasantly surprised how convenient the B and Q are–they connect with most other lines at Atlantic, union square, etc. The B doesnt run on weekends but Q is regular.
another week where I find better use of my hard earned $$$ elsewhere.
CGar,
maybe you can low-ball that PS house – decent alternative vs stuff you’ve been looking at
wow. half the park slope house is missing and the vinegar hill place is just an embarrassment. mort goldstein needs to have a serious conversation with the owner about pricing.
bev square looks nice. how is that neighborhood in terms of public schools and commute to manhattan?
