Having looked at the photos, I “get” the Williamsburg house. Love that slate bathroom.
After Bell Tower, I have newfound love for Gowanus, so the 13th Street house would be great for me as a 1-family.
thwackamole, interesting what you say about the Clinton Hill house (which the listing actually calls Fort Greene). It looks nice and would also make a nice 1-family for me, but I know nothing about the location.
13th Street has been around for a while and then was “unlisted” for a couple of weeks, all with WL. Anyone, say the brokers who prowl this blog, know the inside scoop?

Well, I agree that that’s a debatable thing to state, to say the least . .. tho, I suppose it’s subjective, but whatever.
BUT, I do think this could be a great property for someone who wants this particular kind of commercial/art/arty space AND wants to live above it. It DOES seem well thought out for those purposes. Can’t speak to the price. It’s very expensive, duh, but I know people who’d love this arrangement — artists who also want to run galleries. Not that that often works out well, but nevertheless.
Both the Clinton Avenue and the 13th Street houses are nice but located on rather distant and non-prime blocks. These are best suited for people who get around by car, there is probably no problem street parking on those blocks. Still and all for a million bucks…don’t know. I assume the clinton house is delivered vacant, the listings are so vague. Never a good sign. And there appears to be a chunk missing from the second floor window lintel.
Misleading on 13th St to say house is zoned for MS 51. All of district 15 is “zoned” for 51, but you still have to apply and get accepted. Officially a gifted and talented school. Misleading to suggest you can just move in and enroll your kid there.

Clinton house is pretty far from everything except the BQE. 10+ minute walk to the G train.
Not in great condition, and 1MM? Seems like you can get a better house in Bed Stuy for half the price.
