I don’t know what that street is like but that CH house at $700k which could presumably be gotten for something in the low $600s has a lot of potential.
‘Why do open house picks always have to be things at the high end of the market?’
It was determined in last friday’s Open House Picks, by some posters that all brownstones in Brooklyn are over $1M therefore that’s why they’re the only ones that should be featured here….hey it is called ‘brownstoner’ after all.
I call out, that NONE Of these houses would qualify to be featured! The only brownstone is the Crown Heights and at under $1M, come on, hardly close to that golden threshold of a true brownstone price!!
Mopar, I inquire…..did you see the house or just the listing?
The President Street house looks super-cute, but $1,000 per square feet? it looks a bit steep, no, even for that Alice in Wonderland finish?
I also love the one on 78 Lafayette, but sadly out of my range (without any rental income.)
I think I’ve seen that Crown Heights listing in the last three months and my recollection is it was always at $700,000 or less.
President St. house has no mantles (that is a bookcase in the living room), the front window is some 1960s garbage, and it’s tiny. Just goes to show how much of a difference good staging can make. And any seller can do it.
Anyone know if President Street was renovated since 2007 purchase?
78 Lafayette… Is that the building right next door to Moe’s?

The President Street house looks adorable.
And immaculate.
