Amzi…I used to live in Chicago not far from the “el” you get used to it and after awhile you really don’t hear it anymore. I was in Essence bar a few weekends ago which is right underneath. The TV was on but no music and I heard the LIRR go by but it wassn’t nearly as loud as I thought it would be.
That Crown Heights kitchen needs juuuuuuuust a bit of work …
To tell you the truth the Crown Heights dose not look that bad and the price seems ok.. The only problem I can think of is that the LIRR you might be able to hear since it is so close. I know when I am in my back yard I hear it and I am three blocks parallel to the LIRR.
The CH place was 999k in the summer of 07 when I was looking. It’s been around forever, but maybe around 700 will move it. Really depends how much work it needs. I never looked at it at the time (storm windows and weird entry doors scared me off). I THink these blocks have 20x140ft lots. Montrose, is this in the current or phase 2 historic district?
