re: 219 st. james, i think that’s the one that’s right at corner of fulton (with backyard view of the Met!) if that’s the case, it’s been on for probably 2 months i’d say. not bad inside, but often times read about drug busts either there or at the neighbors. seriously. hope that helps.

You mean whatever floats Brownstoner’s boat. He of all people is definitely “doing” Fort Greene/Clinton Hill.
As for “doing” Fort Greene, it’s pretty much done now. Not some big secret or pioneering area. Some blocks are definitely better than others. This is not one of the prettiest, though it’s not that bad. I find comments about taking a chance in Ft. Greene and Clinton Hill pretty funny since it is not really a “secret gem” or “deal” anymore. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
Just trying to start a ruckus! LOL. 1.7MM sounds high for the block. I’m just saying it’s not as bad as you make it out to be, the block that is.
