I love the thought of being able to go through the backyard, hop on the “yacht” and sail down to South Beach in my pastel leisure suit. The only thing missing is the plastic on the faux Victorian couch.
The PLG house is one of many two story limestones and brownstones built by Realty Associates c. 1909/10 on all Lefferts Manor Bedford–Rogers blocks, close to Rogers. They’re the smallest LM houses, but quite ample as a one family.
I usually don’t disagree with MM, but it doesn’t look to me as if the details have been stripped from this house, although most of the woodwork is painted. Of course it’s kind of hard to tell because the photographs are really terrible. I haven’t seen the house, but I THINK I can (just barely) discern a fair amount of detail in the miserable, badly lit, photos.
The ad says that this house is priced below market. I don’t think that’s true for two story LM houses of this type, other than those that have had extensive renovation.
Yeah, I’d love the pool too. It reminds me of Ceasar’s Palace in Vegas.
So true, Dave, so true.
sorry, meant to say CH (crown heights) instead of GH. I’m dazed and not sure which house to go see…CH or Mill Basin.
The East 24th Street house is in South Midwood, not Ditmas Park. Why can’t the folks at Corcoran get their neighborhood straight if they are selling in Victorian Flatbush? We have distinct neighborhoods here in Flatbush with active neighborhood associations.
I’m sure Barbara Corcoran could call the Flatbush Development Corp., request a map of the neighborhoods and tuter her brokers and salespersons.
THL…..I love you!
Okay…with GH house..keep the mirrors and add an ‘L’ shaped victrianesque reproduction sofa.
Master Bath – add more mirrors…and columns (they seem to be a must in any ‘upscale’ house)
Those floral motifs in the bathroom tile always add a nice touch.
MM… anything’s possible when you have good taste and lots of money!!!!
THL, I’d take the pool in a minute, minus the statuary, of course. I’m more amazed that it is possible to buy a faux Victorian couch that big, with that shape, in white.
