Well, well, well
Plenty of posts on the original thread asking why anyone would buy the 11th Street “piece of sh!t” when they could “live like a king” in the Stuy Heights house.
Looks like the palace is still looking for a king!
Well, well, well
sure, the BLOCK is very nice…thats not the point
“…hitch it to a ox-team and haul it somewhere else”?? Are you serious? I suggest you research the winner of last year’s “Greenest Block in Brooklyn” contest.
The Greenpoint house is sitting on a lovely tree-lined street full of similarly attractive houses. The problem is that this street is an isolated residential street amid the most industrial part of Greenpoint, cut off from any neighborhood. If feels kind of spooky there in a “street that time forgot” way.
That greenpoint house looks pretty but is sitting right over the oil spill.

Calm down. Most people on Brownstoner have never been south of Prospect Park, and even people who live in Victorian Flatbush don’t give a crap about the difference between Midwood, SOUTH MIDWOOD, west midwood.
It is far from virgin. It’s been butchered over time. Lots of extra walls thrown up to allow for boarding house type use. Needs serious restoration work.
The kitchen is not that great… nothing has been done to this house ever it is a VIRGIN LIMESTONE.
There’s kitchen. It’s not nice and has a strange added wall in it that will have to come out.
