The point is, duh, here we go again… South Midwood is not part of Midwood. It is part of Flatbush. As is West Midwood and Midwood Park. It is just flat out innacurate. Deal with it.
Me too, I never knew there was a difference between different parts of Midwood. I’ve heard of Brooklyn College, but never heard of “South Midwood”.
Have to say, it sounds like people in some parts of Midwood don’t want to associate their blocks with other parts of Midwood that aren’t so hot, and are trying to create borders and distinctions nobody else has observed or cared about before.
Who cares if South Midwood might not be as nice as Midwood proper? It’s normal. Not every neighborhood is 100% great all over. Not even Park Slope. All over Brooklyn, the appeal of a neighborhood can change from block to block. People know that. Don’t worry about it.
The owner of 404 Stuyvesant is GREEDY! They had offers before, but they refuse ot sell at a reasonable price.

I grew up in Midwood and I don’t know the difference between South, West, etc. It all sucked back then.
