In case you haven’t checked out the Brownstoner Marketplace recently, we’ve gotten a batch of new listings in over the last few days. Out in Victorian Flatbush, Alexandra Reddish at Mary Kay Gallagher has added three handsome single-family houses to the mix—47 Waldorf Court, 220 Rugby Road and 555 East 23rd Street—and in Dumbo Ann Zemaitis of Charles Rutenberg’s got a high-floor three-bedroom at Jay Condo and Karen Heyman of Sotheby’s put up a 1,550-square-foot two-bedroom at 70 Washington. Stay tuned for some big announcements in the coming days.

  1. I think MKG >should< advertise her listings here, as Victorian homes (and VF homes in general) are great alternatives to brownstones (and similiar homes). It is always better when the buyer has more choices on where to spend their money.

To add, Alexandra is a professional Realtor, and is a pleasure to deal with.

70 Washington St is not a 2 bdrm. It is a one bedroom with a “home
    office” with no window.

Great point! Shame on them for lying in their listing about an illegal bedroom!!!!

(oh, and just overlook that the H.O. is 13 x 13, e.g., about twice the square footage of most legal ‘2 bedroom’ listings)

  3. It might be reflective of a change in advertsiing as her grandaughter takes over more day to day work. Or maybe they realize that Brownstoner readers specifically are rather savvy and will publish the address anyway.

  4. i find it interesting that mary k is now advertising here… they are very secretive on their ads (addresses are never up on their site unless there’s an open house, their listings never make it to the phishing sites such as trulia or zillow or streeteasy). should i interpret this as desperate times for the ditmas market? i mean with all my respect to browstoner, i think mary k would be much better off and become more visible by putting something up on streeteasy than on brownstoner market place.

  5. 20% off like 213 Berkeley, DIBS.

Sell now, while/if you’re still above water, and buy back in after the smoke clears.

‘Brownstoner Comp Place’ where we can conveniently grab comps (trough-to-peak-to-date) for virtually any property?

    I look forward.
